AMBIENCE: A restaurant with a “view” of the indoor canal, so you can people watch. I like this resort because most dining options are in this one area and this is what you’re actually paying for anyway. FOOD: My friend and I were hungry but not for an entree. I had the Ahi Tuna Ceviche, while my friend ordered the Crab & Shrimp Cake as well as a side of Seasonal Roasted Vegetables. Can’t complain, as the food was good. The crab & shrimp cake had a mild kick to it, and the chips served with my ceviche were seasoned too. OVERALL: Our server was attentive & friendly. I guess the only complaint was the prices lol but you are on the strip, so expect those prices.

The five taco samples was amazing! You get to try all the different tacos. Also a must have is the fried plantains! They are drizzled with crema and oaxaca cheese… drinks were very delicious and well balanced, highly recommend the desert lotus!

Every bite felt like a celebration of traditional Mexican cuisine. Service was top-notch: attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The staff made sure everything was just right, adding to the overall warm and festive atmosphere. Highly recommend Canonita for your Mexican food cravings—you will not regret going to this restaurant. It’s a feast for the senses and a must-visit when you’re in Vegas.

My husband and I got married here at the Venetian eight years ago and had our reception at Canonita. We just returned to Vegas for the Eagles concert and came to our favorite place and it was outstanding! I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re ever in the Venetian resort.

I was really impressed with the dishes we ordered here! I started with the mojito flight—each one was freshly muddled, refreshing, and tasty, though I will say they weren’t very strong. The guacamole was excellent, and my husband especially loved the fresh, thick, crunchy chips that came with it. I had a bit of food envy when I saw the fajitas—they looked incredible and the beef was cooked perfectly medium rare and so tender. Next time, I’ll definitely be ordering those! My main dish was the Cazuela de Mariscos, and it exceeded my expectations. It was flavorful, balanced, and even had rice at the bottom, which tied it all together. The mahi was slightly tough, but overall, the dish was excellent. The service was equally impressing. Every staff member we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant. This spot is definitely worth a visit!

A bit late in posting this, but I visited Canonita at The Venetian with family and friends during our Vegas trip. We were craving some good Mexican food and ended up here — and it did not disappoint! We had the vegetarian enchiladas, nachos, and beer — everything was delicious. The enchiladas had a mushroom filling; my wife usually doesn’t like mushrooms, but the flavors were so well blended that she didn’t even notice them. Overall, a great Mexican restaurant that satisfied our cravings in Vegas!

Good Mexican restaurant in Italian hotel casino The Venetian. Menu is extensive, staff is friendly. Ask for seating next to 'canal' to view the 'gondola's' passing by. Gondoliers sing right in front of you. Try the burrito. Would strongly recommend eating at this restaurant .
